Class Information
Champion Gymnastics offers classes for boys and girls ages 6 and up. All classes are held in the main gym downstairs and are divided into levels based on ability. If you are new to our gym, we recommend an evaluation so you can sign up for the proper level.
Each class includes stretching and strength in addition to instruction on vault, uneven bars, beam, floor and trampoline. We focus on learning technical gymnastic skills in addition to building self-esteem, goal setting, trying new things, overcoming fears and working hard.
An introductory class for students with little or no gymnastics experience. In this 55-minute class, students will learn basic skills such as rolls, handstands and bridges. We will work on increasing flexibility, strength, body control, coordination and confidence.
An intermediate class which continues to build on basic gymnastic skills from Level One. In this 55-minute class, students will learn skills like bridge kick-overs, cartwheels, pull-overs and back hip circles. We will continue to build on flexibility, strength, body control and coordination which is needed to learn more difficult gymnastic skills.
An intermediate-advanced class for students who have mastered the skills from Level Two. This 55-minute class is for students working toward competitive gymnastics. We also offer an 85-minute class. Students will learn skills like round-offs, walk overs, back handsprings, back hip circles and much more. We focus on correct technique and form and continue to build strength, flexibility and body control.
This 2-hour class is our most advanced and continues to build on the skills learned in Level Three. In this class, students learn skills like back handsprings, back tucks, aerials, kips, front hip circles and cast handstands. We focus on correct technique and form and continue to build strength, flexibility and body control.
This 55-minute class introduces students to trampoline and tumbling skills. This class teaches students how to perform basic trampoline skills in a safe environment while improving core strength, muscle memory and air awareness. We also focus on learning basic tumbling skills. This is a great class for students who love to flip but may not be interested in traditional gymnastics. It’s also a great class for cheerleaders.
This class is for boys ages 6 and older. Students learn basic gymnastics skills on floor and trampoline. In this 55-minute class, we focus on strength, fitness and coordination that will help in every other sport.
This 45-minute parent and child class lets curious little ones ages 18-months to 3-years explore in a safe and fun environment. Children can crawl, climb, run, swing, hang, roll, jump and bounce to gain confidence in movement and develop gross motor skills. We teach age-appropriate gymnastics skills on all equipment including the trampoline. Children will further develop cognitive skills through body part identification, shape and color recognition and the use and understanding of spacial concepts like over/under, in/out, up/down. We also work on social skills like taking turns, following directions and sharing.
In this 45-minute class, 3-year olds begin learning how to take turns and navigate gymnastics stations independently as they begin to develop body awareness and control. We teach age-appropriate skills on all gymnastics equipment including trampoline. Children will further develop cognitive skills through body part identification, shape and color recognition and the use and understanding of spacial concepts like over/under, in/out, up/down. We also work on social skills like taking turns, following directions and sharing.
In this 55-minute class, 4-year olds learn new skills on all gymnastics equipment. We focus on trying new things, listening and following directions and increased body awareness and control. Children will further develop cognitive skills through body part identification, shape & color recognition and the use and understanding of spacial concepts like over/under, in/out, up/down. We also work on social skills like taking turns, following directions and sharing.
In this 55-minute class, 5-year olds are introduced to new and more difficult skills on all gymnastics equipment. Children practice following directions, working independently, making corrections and overcoming fears. Children will further develop cognitive skills through body part identification, shape & color recognition and the use and understanding of spacial concepts like over/under, in/out, up/down. We also work on social skills like taking turns and sharing.
In this 55-minute class, children ages 4-6, who have mastered core gymnastics skills and have excellent body control and mental toughness, learn more advanced and complex gymnastics instruction. An instructor recommendation is required for this class.
